MONTEVIDEO, URUGUAY

Montevideo moves at its own unhurried pace—wind rolling off the Río de la Plata, old facades catching the late afternoon sun, conversation drifting from cafés and corner bars. The city feels lived-in and genuine, less concerned with spectacle than atmosphere. Along the Rambla, waves break against the stone while couples share maté beneath a fading sky, and somewhere deeper in the streets, music spills softly through open windows into the warm night air.
